Herbert A. Miller was a politically active educator born in 1875. Miller taught at Ohio State until controversy over his participation in Gandhi's campaign for independence caused his dismissal. Rose G. Szewc was born in Warsaw, Poland; her family came to the United States when she was four years old. Rose worked as a legal stenographer and, later, as a manager in the Ft.
